Thanks again for being here!
Below you can listen to and download my EP! I also took some time to write out what I feel is worth sharing about each song.
I hope you enjoy my art, and feel as connected to it as I do:)

Bird in a Cage

This was just one of those songs that kind of poured out while I was sitting on the floor strumming the guitar.

My mission with this song is to connect with other people who might feel trapped in their lives and have been made to feel small.

I hope this song helps to inspire them to make changes in their lives that will help them grow and move out of situations like that.

Mama

I was talking with my mom about my little sister—about how, as hard as it is, she has to let her grow up, make her own choices, and even her own mistakes.

In the middle of that conversation, it hit me: one day, I’ll have to do the same thing with my own kids.

I hope this song speaks to both parents and children—because both perspectives are valid.
As difficult as it is, kids need the freedom to make their own mistakes in order to grow.
Letting go is never easy, but it’s a necessary part of becoming who we’re meant to be.

Arson Song

I was was waiting for my divorce to finalize and in the heat of negotiations when I wrote this with Dawn Kinnard.

I couldn’t wait to officially start my life over with a clean slate.

We had just reunited and I was filling her in on everything happening in my life.

She came up with the chorus and first verse as a snapshot of what I’d been going through, and it turned into the perfect anthem about taking back my life.”

sweet mountain flower

Sweet Mountain Flower is about stepping into a love story that’s both tender and timeless.
It’s about finding beauty in the simple things, muddy dresses, cold grass, sunlight, and the kind of love that doesn’t waver through it all.

The song drifts between longing and peace, between the ache of missing someone and the joy of being wrapped up in their presence.
It’s gentle, heartfelt, and rooted in the kind of everyday magic that makes you want to linger a little longer.

those days

Those Days” came from that raw space of moving on when you don’t really feel ready to.

It’s about the little reminders you can’t escape; old letters, sweaters, records and how they haunt you even when you’re trying your best to let go.

The song is equal parts heartbreak and healing, tracing the journey from being left behind to finding your footing in a brand-new place.
It’s messy, honest, and full of that quiet strength it takes to finally say, ‘those days are over
